Case Study: Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Thursday Island, Queensland

With over 60% of its students identifying as First Nations and with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D), Our Lady of the Sacred Heart joined MultiLit’s Closing the Gap Initiative in 2021. After implementing multiple MultiLit programs students are showing significant progress.

Case Study: St Mary’s College, Seymour, Victoria

After a Phonics Screening Check in 2020, St Mary’s College Seymour adopted InitiaLit for its whole-class literacy instruction in 2021. This decision has led to encouraging improvements year on year, and by 2024, 80% of Year 3 students were in the top two proficiency bands in NAPLAN.

Case Study: Belmay Primary School, Western Australia

A school improvement program prompted leadership to implement changes to improve student outcomes. This included introducing InitiaLit, followed soon after by MacqLit, MiniLit Sage and SpellEx. Since then, the school has built a reputation for high-quality education, ranking 6th in the state for Year 3 spelling.
